State to appoint woman doc as contact point for residents

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane addressed concerns raised by female resident doctors, promising enhanced safety measures including the appointment of dedicated female doctor-relation officers at Goa Medical College (GMC). Rane emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening laws to protect women and prevent incidents like the Kolkata tragedy. Additional security measures, better illumination, and CCTV installations were also assured.
