‘Stillbirths up by 24% in Bihar during Covid’

The incidence of stillbirth – babies born with no sign of life at 28 weeks of pregnancy or later – increased by 24% during the Covid-19 pandemic in Bihar compared to pre-pandemic data, a new study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) Global Health shows.
