Stolen Chola-era idol of Krishna brought home from Bangkok

An antique Chola-era bronze idol of ‘Kaliya Krishna’ smuggled out of India years ago and recently recovered in Bangkok has been returned to India. The Archaeological Survey of India confirmed receiving the idol and plans to hand it over to the Tamil Nadu Idol Wing. This recovery highlights the need for further probes into other smuggled artifacts.
