Studying plan to split pension of soldier killed in line of duty: Govt

The defence ministry told Parliament it was considering a proposal to divide family pensions between the spouse and parents of military personnel who die in service. The proposal aims to address complaints from parents of deceased soldiers who feel neglected financially. Currently, only the spouse receives the pension unless the soldier was unmarried.
