Tamil Nadu, US firm to enter into deal for semiconductor centre in Chennai

The Tamil Nadu government will sign an MoU with Applied Materials from the USA to create an advanced AI-driven technology development centre in Taramani. This initiative is expected to generate over 500 high-end jobs and foster collaborations with local universities and industry partners to enhance the semiconductor ecosystem in the state.
