Techie chained, burnt to death by transsexual friend

A techie was chained, slashed and burned alive on her 26th birthday in Thalambur, Chennai. The perpetrator, Vetrimaran (previously known as Pandi Murugeshwari), had undergone a sex change to marry the victim, R Nandhini. They were former classmates in a girls school in Madurai. Despite refusing to enter a relationship with Vetrimaran after his sex change, Nandhini stayed in touch with him. On the day of the incident, Vetrimaran lured Nandhini by offering her new clothes and a visit to an orphanage near Tambaram.
