Telangana: Candidates in model code jam over poll tricks
Candidates and their supporters have found themselves in hot water over various things including traffic jams, bursting crackers to celebrate party ticket, serving food to voters and even administering WhatsApp groups circulating abusive content, shows an analysis of FIRs for violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). In Cyberabad, cops booked a BJP worker for distributing helmets to voters in Keshampet. In Pebbair in Wanaparthy, BRS mandal president Ramulu was booked for arranging meals, including rice with mutton, chicken and dal at a temple premise for 2,000 people.
