Telangana govt probing how cost of secretariat doubled in 4 years

The Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) department is investigating the construction of Hyderabad’s new secretariat, raising concerns about cost overruns and inferior work quality. Originally budgeted at Rs 617 crore and contracted for Rs 494 crore, the final cost skyrocketed to Rs 1,100 crore. Missing files and bypassed procedures have fueled suspicions of misconduct.
