The Mitznefet: Israeli soldiers’ tactical advantage on the battlefield

The Israeli Defense Forces have developed the Mitznefet, a helmet cover that enhances the capabilities of soldiers in battle. It disrupts the shape of a helmeted soldier’s head, providing better concealment on open battlefields and reducing visibility of reflections. Initially made from mesh fabric, it later evolved to include a two-sided camouflage material. The Mitznefet has gained widespread use within the IDF and is even available for commercial purchase outside of Israel.
