Tropical Storm Ileana heads northward over the southern Gulf of California, bringing heavy rains

Mexico has issued a tropical storm warning along the coast from Altata to Huatabampito following heavy rains from Storm Ileana in Los Cabos. The storm, moving northward over the southern Gulf of California, has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph. Authorities have prepared shelters and advised residents to avoid flood-prone areas.
