‘Truth and courage’: Rahul uses Shiva image to attack BJP

The Lok Sabha on Monday saw dramatic scenes as Rahul Gandhi used an image of Lord Shiva to criticize the government for its “full-scale assault on the idea of India and the Constitution.” Speaker Om Birla immediately asked Gandhi not to display the image, citing rules against placards. Gandhi argued the image symbolized courage, non-violence, and truth, principles he claimed the opposition defended against BJP’s pursuit of power. He emphasized that these values are shared across Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Sikhism.
