Uganda confirms two more cases of mpox
Uganda’s health ministry confirmed two additional mpox virus cases, increasing the total to four. The new infections involve the clade 1b strain, known for easier transmission. The initial outbreak was reported on July 24 near the Congolese border. The latest cases were isolated in Entebbe, with one patient being a truck driver. Mpox causes flu-like symptoms and can be fatal.
