Punjab pacer Kashvee Gautam has secured a contract with Gujarat Giants for the upcoming second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The 20-year-old, whose base price was Rs 10 lakh, drew interest from both Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Karnataka batter Vrinda Dinesh was bid at Rs 1.3 crore by UP Warriorz. Both players represented India A in a three-match series against England A. Australian cricketers Annabel Sutherland and Phoebe Litchfield also made high bids in the initial stages of the auction.
