Uniform Civil Code committee submits final report to Uttarakhand CM Dhami

The UCC committee, headed by Shatrughan Singh, submitted its final report to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami. The bill, aiming for equal laws across marriage, divorce, live-in relationships, and property rights, was passed on February 7, 2024, and became an act on March 12. CM Dhami emphasised its universal benefits and non-targeted nature.
