UPI payments reach this ‘milestone’ in April-August months

India’s digital payment landscape has grown significantly, with UPI transactions reaching Rs 1,669 lakh crore from April to August 2024-25. The Finance Ministry reported a transaction volume of 8,659 crore during this period. UPI’s global expansion is enabling seamless cross-border transactions for Indians abroad.
