Uproar over molestation on IIT-BHU campus

Protests erupted at the Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) after a female student reported being molested on campus. Around 2,000 students boycotted classes and staged a sit-in, demanding the arrest of the perpetrators, improved campus security, and the resignation of the institute’s director. A police complaint was filed, and a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the suspects. Senior officials have been deployed to maintain order on the campus.
