Valmiki and Ravidas temple priests get VHP invite

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has invited priests from Valmiki and Ravidas temples for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This move is significant in the context of the caste narrative that emerged from the Mandal Commission report. The VHP plans to have a diverse representation of priests, including those from Dalit and tribal communities. The ceremony will also include priests from New Delhi’s Valmiki temple, where PM Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Mission.
