Watch: Android malware uses smartphone’s NFC reader to steal payment card details

Researchers have discovered an Android malware named ‘NGate’ that uses NFC technology to steal payment card data from infected devices. Attackers clone the cards to withdraw money at ATMs or point-of-sale terminals. The malware spreads through sophisticated phishing schemes, where victims are tricked into downloading malicious apps, leading to unauthorised transactions.
