Punjab Kings faced social media controversy after Sam Curran was appointed as captain in place of injured Shikhar Dhawan in their IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals. Jitesh Sharma was previously thought to have been designated as the franchise’s ‘vice-captain’. But head coach Sanjay Bangar clarified that Sharma represented Punjab in the shoot only.
