An analysis of patients below 40 years at a cardiology center in Gujarat revealed that tobacco consumption and smoking were major factors for cardiac issues, affecting 31% to 35% of patients. Other causes included hypertension, diabetes, family history, and stress. Experts warn about the danger of “soft plaque” in younger patients, which can rupture during strenuous activity.
