Why has Brazil decided to block Elon Musk’s X in the country

Brazil’s Supreme Court has ordered the suspension of Elon Musk’s social media platform X for failing to block accounts accused of spreading disinformation. Justice Alexandre de Moraes instructed internet providers to block access to X and imposed fines for using VPNs to bypass the restriction. The platform remains accessible but without a local representative.
