Why Putin will run for president as independent candidate

Putin has the complete support of the UR party and the state-backed RIA news agency has confirmed that he will run as an independent. Sergei Mironov, a senior politician from the Just Russia party, supports Putin and stated that he would run as an independent. Putin’s war in Ukraine, which he calls a “special military operation,” is seen as justified by his supporters.
