Wife’s cruelty no ground to deny maintenance: Delhi HC

Delhi High Court clarifies that cruelty findings in divorce proceedings cannot be the sole ground to deny maintenance under the Domestic Violence Act. Each legal provision should be considered independently. A revision petition can be filed with the high court against a sessions court order invoking cruelty to deny maintenance.
