The ridership of Namma Metro in Bengaluru has increased to over 7 lakh after the launch of operations along the entire Purple Line. The average ridership before the opening of the missing links was 6.5 lakh. Commuters are demanding an increase in train frequency, especially during peak hours. BMRCL officials have stated that they are running adequate trains and have observed changes in footfall at different stations. The opening of the missing link has also helped ease traffic congestion in certain areas.
