Yamuna e-way accidents up 30% in 2023

Accidents on the Yamuna Expressway have increased by 30% this year, according to data from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. However, fatalities have decreased, with 80 deaths reported until October. The number of injuries also increased by 7% compared to the previous year. The data shows that accidents, deaths, and injuries on the expressway have been fluctuating since 2016. The authorities have taken measures to enhance road safety, including installing more cameras and replacing barbed wires with thrie beams.
