Your work experience could help you get a degree too

The National Credit Framework (NCrF) in India is proposing to allow individuals who have work experience to obtain credits towards a degree. This Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) would enable skills obtained outside of academia to count towards undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Institutes would need to define learning outcomes and gain approvals from academic councils to implement RPL. Other ways to creditize learning under the NCrF include problem-solving at events and social projects. The NCrF chairperson is optimistic that universities will start using RPL in the current academic year.
