Zydus enters fermentation-based protein market with Sterling Biotech JV

Zydus Lifesciences Limited, via its subsidiary, acquired a 50% stake in Sterling Biotech, aligning with Temasek’s Perfect Day Inc. This partnership will create a facility for fermented, animal-free protein targeting eco-conscious and lactose-intolerant consumers. The JV aims to establish India as a global supply chain hub for biotech products.
