A 95-year-old woman from Puducherry underwent successful total hip replacement surgery, demonstrating that age is not a barrier in medicine. The woman had previously undergone a hip replacement surgery 23 years ago, but the implant had loosened over time, causing pain and discomfort. Another attempt at hip replacement failed, leaving her without a hip joint. However, a revision surgery was performed, correcting the limb length and using bone grafts. The surgery was successful, and the patient is now mobile and pain-free.
