Chennai: TN cabinet clears Rs 44,125 crore investment in key sectors, approves new energy policies

The Tamil Nadu cabinet approved 15 industrial projects worth ₹44,125 crore, creating 24,700 jobs. Key investments include ₹21,340 crore by Sembcorp in Tuticorin and ₹2,600 crore by Motherson Group. The cabinet also sanctioned three renewable energy policies aimed at achieving 20,000MW by 2030 and approved a large housing complex for Foxconn employees.
