Conman living in friend’s name for 15 years lands in jail

A Bhopal sessions court has sentenced Tarun Jinraj to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment for stealing his friend Praveen Bhatele’s identity and securing jobs with top companies over 15 years. Jinraj, who is also facing a separate murder trial in Gujarat, was caught when Bhatele discovered the fraud through a news report in 2018 and filed a police complaint.
