Day temperatures soar in Mumbai

Mumbai’s day temperatures reached 36.5 degrees, the highest for October so far, recorded by the IMD Santacruz observatory. Colaba recorded 34.5 degrees. Abhijit Modak noted this spike occurred earlier than usual due to the absence of withdrawal-related thunderstorms. Monsoon withdrawal is set for October 8, with light rains forecasted.
