‘Don’t panic’: Bescom assures uninterrupted power to industries

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) has assured industries and commercial establishments in and around Bengaluru that they will have uninterrupted power supply, despite the energy crisis in the state. The state government is making efforts to draw additional power from various sources, including private and public generation facilities. Private power generators in Karnataka have been invoked to supply power, with the state hopeful of getting up to 1,500 Mw of power. Karnataka is facing a daily shortage of 3,000 to 3,500 Mw of power.
