Drug case ends in acquittals as statements of cops differ

A local court in Mohali has acquitted three individuals in a drug smuggling and weapons recovery case due to the failure of the police to prove the recovery of heroin and weapons. The court stated that the statements of the investigating officers did not match, and the police could not establish the time and place of arrest. The police also lacked witnesses in the case. The court acquitted all three accused after considering the evidence and arguments from both the defence and prosecution.
