NASA’s Boeing Starliner astronauts stuck in space for 240 Days: Record-breaking or routine?

NASA announced an extension of astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams’ mission on the ISS until February 2025 due to problems with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. Instead of an eight-day mission, they will now return on a SpaceX vehicle, staying potentially up to 270 days in space, contributing to long-duration spaceflight research.
