Non-kosher chicken items off menu as Kolkata eatery returns to Jewish roots

Nahoum & Sons, a historic Kolkata bakery, stopped selling chicken items due to the unavailability of a kosher butcher. The fourth-generation owner, Adam Nahoum, also decided to close the shop on Saturdays to observe the Jewish Sabbath. The bakery continues to offer popular items like fish pantheras and egg chops while observing Jewish holidays.
