Scheme okayed, you can soon book luxury bus seat for office from home

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has approved a scheme for a premium bus aggregator in the city. Under the scheme, office-goers will be able to book bus seats on a mobile app. The premium private buses will be air-conditioned and equipped with amenities such as Wi-Fi, GPS, CCTV, and a panic button. Fares will be determined by the aggregators and will be higher than the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus fares. The scheme aims to reduce private vehicle usage and air pollution in the city. However, critics argue that it is a step towards privatizing public services.
