Set to complete last year, Okhla STP may kick off by December
The Okhla sewage treatment plant (STP) in Delhi, a joint venture between the National Mission for Clean Ganga and Delhi Jal Board, is expected to be commissioned by December this year. The plant will have the capacity to treat 56.4 crore litres of wastewater daily and is crucial for Delhi’s sewage treatment network. Despite delays, around 92% of the work has been completed. The plant will use ultraviolet technology and have a unique design with a rectangular sedimentation unit tank.
