Uttarakhand Waqf board proposal to JPC: Mark land for soldiers’ kin

During a JPC meeting on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024, Uttarakhand’s Waqf board proposed allocating Waqf land to families of soldiers who died for the nation, regardless of religious affiliation. They also suggested a ‘one nation, one education, one law’ approach and dissolution of Waqf and madrassa boards.
