Gurgaon experienced its first sub-16 degrees Celsius temperature this season, with a drop to 15.6 degrees Celsius. The decrease in temperature is due to clear skies and north-westerly winds bringing cold air from the Himalayan region. The maximum temperature, however, rose to 31.5 degrees Celsius. The city’s air quality remains in the ‘poor’ category, and incidents of stubble burning in neighboring Punjab are increasing. The Haryana State Pollution Control Board predicts that the air quality will remain ‘poor’ due to the drop in temperature.
